It had never occurred to Fenic that somebody's life could be ruined in just a few moments, that just one day could set you into a spiraling cycle of despair. She was praying for a miracle, some sort of hope that would bring her out of her situation, to lift her up- but she didn't find any reassurance, any courage to tell her secret to anyone else. If she let them know, she could be in danger, she could be mocked or ridiculed. She was so scared of death, scared at the prospect of injury and insult, that she'd barely speak much anymore, preferring to sulk by herself, in the territory. The skies were a bleak gray today, and it was still snowing- the scene reminded her of another, when blood soaked the snow instead of leaving it a pristine white as she saw it now. Her paws gently lifted themselves through the chills with some sort of grace that came with knowing you were ruined. It was the shame of realizing that this would either make or break your life, the fact that she wasn't feeling right after that one stupid day, when her stomach started to hurt, to get dizzy. She hates herself, and she blamed herself for everything, for making her own life a mess.

And before she knew it, the fae had sat down in a patch of wilting, snow-covered flowers- and she was crying, ever so faintly.
"Why am I such an idiot?" Her once-full yellow eyes now looked deprived of their beauty, of their kindness- it was only despair, that one feeling that had taken over her mind- as her parents were remnants of despair because they loved, she was one because she didn't love, because she lacked the social skills to know what to say- because she said no.

Hope and Despair; [Private - Sicarius, Rishi] 293dfh4

Sircarius often felt a little unusual within the pack. The many wolves and big cats, and various others, were a lot harder and more aggressive than he was. Sircarius was rarely aggressive, unless provoked. The tanned spotted male did not anger easily however.

Mother taught me well, he thought. It was her dream for her son to become not only strong and capable, but compassionate and loving. Sircarius was not open about his softer side, but he believed it was relatively obvious when he was standing beside say - Alpha Nero, or even Lucrasis; both excellent at what they did, but both boosting such aggressive and defensive personalities.

The tanned spotted male slowly released a gentle sigh as he swept his icy eyes across the territory. A white layer of snow had covered where grass once was. Sicarius loved the snow and the cooler weathers, it always brought a smile to his maw. The cold did not bother him - he was lucky, his fur was thick, providing adequate shelter from the icy winds.

Sircarius had left the heart of the pack some time ago, and had been wandering the territory in search of dangers or troubles - what he tended to do, on a regular basis. The warrior was defensive around the borders, knowing he had to challenge and fight anyone who dared present a threat. Especially those in Pixdaus. A gentle sound, a soft sound suddenly caused the male to erect his rounded spotted ears.

He searched around with his eyes narrowing cautiously. The sound was foregin to his ears, but it quickly became apparent what it was. It was someone weeping. A voice followed - the leopard just making out her words. Sicarius dropped his shoulders from his defensive stance and ventured curiously towards the sound.

In among the snow and wilting flowers, he spotted a female; a female wolf. The male knew of her - as he knew of all animals within his pack. Omega Fenic. Sicarius was hesitant in approaching her; she was the omega and they tended to be either avoided or mistreated, however...The male's sympathy got the best of him, drawing him towards the sad she-wolf. "Why do you think are you an idiot?" He asked as he gradually tilt his head. The warrior held a rather casual stance, his shoulders dropped and his voice soft. Sicarius did not appear intimidating, nor was it his intention.

Alright the snow wasn't that bad once you grew accustomed to it, however, it didn't make it any less troublesome when it came to a particular slender, short furred she cat with freckled spots adorning her body. Yes, her short size made it difficult to traverse by land when you never knew how deep the snow was until you actually sunk into it. That was what the young scout hated about the powdery substance, that along with the cold. Her short and smooth pelt was not built for this kind of weather. It was thin for a reason, her ancestors living in more humid places where trees wove together to create a jungle gym and paradise. Oh, how the feline missed those trees. Hours of fun while your parents were away, enjoying the comforts of life. One of the ways the small ocelot become such a skilled climber by scaling different kinds trees with minimal effort.

Rishi bounded through the snow, picking her path carefully as she leaped and bounded from spot to spot, guesstimating where the snow would be the shallowest and deepest. Amber eyes zoned in on a grey lump of sorts, not knowing if it was a boulder or not. With her smaller stature everything look like a boulder or just plain big. But the feline did not dwell on if it was a boulder or not, she instead rerouted her way towards it. A leap here, a leap there she made her way to the ashen colored lump. A certain large leap landed the ocelot named Rishi onto the boulder. She sat and looked around, only now just realizing that she was very close to crossing the border into Sardothien. She had no orders to cross the border and doing so – so should she be found – would be a very sticky situation to get out of. She was lucky she found higher ground to climb onto and survey her surroundings. Keen eyes spotted a white disfigured lump in the snow while sharp ears picked up on the sniffles of sorrow. It wasn't until Rishi narrowed her eyes in confusion that she picked up the fact that the lump of snow was was in fact breathing! The golden eyes of the creature also gave way to it being something much larger than her. "It lives and breaths! Who would have figured that out? Not I that's for sure!" Rishi exclaimed rather loudly, totally not concealing her presence to the canine.

The best remedy to sadness was laughter and the ocelot lived to make those in her company laugh until they cried. "Pardon for interupting your sniffle party, but I couldn't help but notice that you needed some company. I'm sure I can allow you to bask in my wondrous glory and presence." Rishi giggled while puffing her small chest out while blowing her cheeks up and holding her breath, trying to stay completely still. Alas she had to breathe at some point and so a loud gush of carbon exited her parted maw while she gasped in some good o'l air. She rolled onto her back giggling to herself as she looked at the white wolf from upside down.

Rishi stopped laughing when she heard the wolf's words and instead sat up and looked thoughtful before answering the wolf's question, " but aren't we all idiots?" Rishi asked as she tilted her small head at the canine. A million watt smile found its way onto the small felines lips as her orange gaze glowed with mirth. "See I'm an idiot! A rather happy idiot, but an idiot nonetheless!" Rishi giggled again when she meowed out loud. She didn't notice that a larger more pronoun feline was upon them until he spoke with a deep, but soft voice. "Look out! 'Tis a spotted beast!" The ocelot yowled in alarm as she dived back into the frigid snow. It wasn't until she realized that the leopard meant no harm to the wolf or herself that she popped her head up from the snow, a pile of the white solid sat atop her head as she laughed a mirthful laugh at her own idocity. One would think she was a crazy fool, adorable, but crazy nonetheless.

"...!" Fenic's eyes widened in a sudden burst of fear as a stranger interrupted her peace and quiet, beginning to talk to her as if she was her friend- in fact, the she-cat smelled of Pixduas- why would she get close to an animal of a different pack? Did her nose not work, was she too innocent to realize that they were at war? At first, the wolf kept her mouth shut, her fur beginning to bristle as the ocelot was making jokes, jokes she wasn't in the mood for right now, when she was trying to get some alone time, time for herself. She was sulking in the snow, her mood turned sour by a medical discovery which would make the rest of her life too hard, that would make her... somewhat related to a wolf she didn't ever want to see again. However, as the strange cat yowled in somewhat distress, Fenic immediately closed her eyes, flinching in distress- until she realized that at least, there was another cat she knew, and not another stranger. Warrior Sicarius- she'd seen him around camp, but not exactly talked to him- nobody exactly wanted to talk to her much, anyways, so it didn't matter much to the Omega. He asked a question, he talked to her as well, but she didn't want to answer, to give away her secret, so she'd get more pack members to make her life a living hell. All the fae wanted to do was stop time, to rewind everything, to run before she had a chance. It was the winter, and in her state, she couldn't make an escape just yet- she might get more than one wolf winding up dead if she did that. "...I made a mistake." Mumbling, the white-furred female didn't want to lie, but she didn't want to be truthful either. In most cases, it was only one day that changed your life forever, and she was sure that that day, it was exactly that- a moment that changed her life for the worse.

Hope and Despair; [Private - Sicarius, Rishi] 293dfh4

The spotted leopard quickly fastened his icy blue eyes on the relatively bouncy and energetic feline. Sicarius found the Pixdaus she-cat to be immature, foolish and potentially not overly familiar with the borders. When she began to exclaim that she, herself was an idiot, the male couldn't help but reveal a very small, faint smile. The other was confirming his thoughts, however it was bold to admit your flaws to another. Especially an enemy, for Fenic and himself were both technically enemies to the Ocelot.

The male found her behavior unusual, particularly when she noticed his presence. The male was slightly offended especially as the other seemed to think he would harm Fenic. The Ocelot did not know Fenic's rank, and so he found it weird that she believed he'd harm his own pack-mate. Very weird, in fact. "What is your problem?" He finally asked the enemy from across the border, "Why would you assume I would harm one of my own kind? You, most definitely, but not her," he said, motioning to the wolf.

Sicarius however would never hurt the Ocelot, unless she provided a decent reason to. But, he said it to try and state his position. The way she acted was either out of stupidity or foolishness, or... Perhaps there was something more going on here, more than what initially perceived. The male's shoulders dropped slowly as he gradually released his guard.

Sicarius would be keeping his eye on both of them, he simply felt too unsure...Especially with Rishi, the Ocelot. The Omega seemed sad however, sad and miserable, not overly excited or bold. It seemed unlikely that she knew the enemy across the border. It seemed unlikely that the two were friends, but the warrior still was cautious.

When the solid white wolf answered his previous question, he felt intrigued by her answer. Sicarius was not hateful of the Omega, but he was not respectful to her either. The spotted male would treat her kindly, but he was wary of other's prying eyes.

The mistake the she-wolf made was clearly a large one. Fenic was upset and saddened by something. To live a life of an Omega, seemed to come with a life full of sadness and disrespect. The male thought sadness would be common, but there seemed more to this than simply 'being an omega'. Sicarius knew that Omegas were given little responsibilities, little duties, so there was little room for mistakes. And that within itself merely made the male more curious. He felt sympathetic of her though, but he tried not to demonstrate such expression across his tan muzzle. "What mistake did you make?" He asked. "Mistakes are normal you know," he said, "We learn from them. You cannot climb a large mountain, if you do not slip and make a clumsy mistake or two before-paw," he said.

Rishi bunched her muscles before pushing off with her back legs and landed back onto the rock. There the small ocelot sat watching the two Sardothien members converse and ridicule her rather peppy attitude. Sure they didn't say it out loud, well not the wolf, the leopard, however, was a different case altogether. She was sure the wolf did think it. She could not help it that she choose to be happy then bland. She even had the nerve to roll her eyes at the two and mumble to herself without actual words breaching her maw. When the leopard asked what her problem was followed up by his question Rishi gave him the 'are you kidding me' kind of look before she spoke. "Duh! For all, I know you could be like your Alpha or be a complete stranger for that matter! How was I supposed to know?" Rishi said with a sassy edge in her voice as she sat there, grooming her fur on her chest out of boredom. At the white wolf's words, Rishi looked up and tilted her head in curiosity. For once all seriousness was on display as she thought about the canines words. Finally remember the things she learned throughout her life as a nomad Rishi perked up and blurted it out, "see the reality of life is that felines and canines mess up all the time. Don't let one mistake ruin a beautiful thing. Instead, learn and grow from it," she said clearly with conviction, but soft and quiet as she stared at the ground, pondering her own response. However, it didn't last long as Rishi gave a charming grin and continued her little speech. "Forget past mistakes, forget failures, forget everything except what you plan to do now and do it, one way or another." Rishi grinned softly as she watched the wolf react with her words, hoping she didn't sound stupid or ridiculous. "A wise lion said that sometimes it takes a mistake to realize something big or important. I only hope that whatever you're dealing with you can push through and still survive. We live in a harsh and cruel world, we can't afford to be weak or give up because if we do we die and lose in this battle for succession." The young ocelot sounded possess as she spoke zoning off as she paused in her sentence. "Yet the world is a beautiful place if you can learn to see it as such. Sorry if I was interrupting something I didn't mean any harm done, I'm still new to the whole history between our packs." Rishi bowed her head as she sat there giving a happy smile. Her amber gaze losing the seriousness and once again glowed with mirth as she sat on the rock, slightly shivering from the cool wind raking it's cold as death fingers down her spine.

Fenic didn't understand how the cat who jumped at her before, who seemed to be so unknowing about the packs and how lines separated the three cats who were meeting, could suddenly produce such a speech as eloquent as that. It was surprisingly making a lot of sense to the worn-out wolf, who needed all the support she could get, but it didn't exactly fit her situation, either. These weren't just mistakes that led to a bump in her road rather than a poison, one that would linger on in her life forever no matter how hard she tried to get rid of it. These pups, they could be the death of her- their mother was too weak to defend them, and their father was too dangerous for her to let him close to them once they were born. It wasn't even like she wanted to have them at all, and she'd never be able to look into their faces without seeing the demon that resided behind them, the wolf who ruined her life, who she would never be able to stand up to. "You don't understand." She choked, her eyes filled with sadness. She was a miserable creature, who didn't seem to be able to do anything right. As she stood up weakly, it was more obvious what the mistake was- she wasn't too far along in her pregnancy, but it was enough for others to notice. "It's not like I can just forget about it and move on." Sobbing even harder, it was too hard for the fae to stop- she wanted to let go of this so badly, but it was impossible. "He's going to kill me when he finds out." Fenic croaked, shaking. Her nerves were already being pushed to the brink, and she couldn't handle what she thought Nero would be like when he found out she was having pups- and they had to be his, they couldn't be anybody else's. There was a sliver of a chance she might be rewarded- but in her eyes, every little thing she did wrong deserved punishment, and this wasn't just a little thing. It was big, and she could have prevented this, if she'd just paid attention to his direct orders and not messed up, and not failed.

Hope and Despair; [Private - Sicarius, Rishi] 293dfh4

The spotted male observed the feline through his curious icy eyes. She made a seemingly pushed together point, but a point nevertheless.

Rishi did not know who he was...It was possible he could have been there to attack Rishi, or maybe yell at Fenic for talking to the spotted golden feline. Sicarius narrowed his eyes to her though as she spoke. The she-cat's sassy edge made him unsettled, and slightly irritated. However he let her comment slide as her expression changed into a serious, more concerned seeming style.

Rishi spoke to Fenic with experience or at least a wise edge, contradicting to the bouncy, hyper and overly excitable figure he had first set his sights on. Odd, he thought as he listened to her words. She provided relatively sound points. The points seemed to tie into what he had previously said though. But, it was all round, decent advice for the Omega.

Sicarius suddenly turned his head to the side, seeming relatively confused when the snowy female spoke up, claiming that the two cats did not understand. When she began to tear up and choke, his ears pinned back sadly. Whatever is happening...You're clearly upset..This is more than simply a missed rabbit..

The snowy colored leopard paid very close attention to her words, seeming to hang onto them with a mixture of fascination and worry. The fae revealed it, intentionally or unintentionally so - he was not sure. But it was clear. At least, to Sicarius.

Fenic was an Omega. Omegas were not treated with kindness or respect in Sardothien. Everyone knew that. The animals in such ranks had little responsibility and practically dirt tasks. No one could trust them with anything of importance.

Alpha Nero was one of the worst for kindness and mercy. Sicarius rarely saw a pleasant side to him. There also were few males within the pack.

He's going to kill me...The Alpha immediately came to mind. The lean spotted male watched as she continued to cry. Sicarius was not hugely observant. He could not tell the fae's stomach was slightly rounded, revealing the full extent to what had happened.

It wasn't until he took a few steps closer; yearning to try and calm her, to settle her, to help her, when her unusual scent hit his nose. The scent was not one he knew well, but he did know it. The male's icy eyes went to her stomach. Sicarius simply stared at her in both horror and sympathy.

The Alpha had attacked her and forced her to bare his offspring, surely? But, was she telling the truth? Was she being honest? Sicarius did not want to believe it, but the fae's sobbing seemed all too true. One simply did not sprout a rounded stomach.

Alpha Nero was not likely going to let Fenic survive long, knowing his pups resided within her. Would he kill her? Would he simply kill the pups? Would he banish her? Whatever the case, he knew the outcome of this would not be an overly pleasing one. Alpha Nero did not seem like the merciful type. But, maybe..Just maybe he would demonstrate otherwise. Sicarius was lost for words, but his expression revealed it all. "I'm so sorry," he eventually managed to mutter.

Rishi listened to the white canine as she spoke her, attention piped as Fenic explained her situation. Tears flowed freely from the wolf's golden eyes and Rishi could tell that whatever it was it was serious. The small feline could not see what was wrong with the canine being as she was facing in front of her and on the other side of the border. However, when Rishi looked at the leopard's facial expressions after he sniffed the air she couldn't help but follow suit. A strange scent flowed through Rishi's nose, one she didn't know and so wasn't able to figure out was wrong. So instead Rishi shrugged jumped down from the rock she was sitting on. Bounding through the snow was difficult for the ocelot, but she was determined to achieve her goal. A barren tree stood slightly closer to the boarder but it provided a different angle for Rishi to look and view the Sardothien members. Reaching the tree Rishi stopped and took a short break before she proceeded to climb the tree. Finally reaching a suitable branch to lay on Rishi looked towards the ones she had been previously speaking with. At first Rishi did not notice anything unusual or strange but when she squinted she later found that the white wolf had a slightly more rounded stomach.

Oh... I understand now, Rishi thought to herself. Sadness overwhelmed the joy the ocelot previously had glowing in her eyes. Shaking her head sadly Rishi spoke, a wobble in her tone like she was holding back tears herself. "You miss understood my words. What I mean is you should forget for now and plan out a course of action. You would not believe me when I say I do understand to an extent. Do not fault unborn children because of their father and the way of their conception. It might be hard at first to cope and deal, but it might be worth it in the very end." She said as she looked at the two.

At first Rishi could not understand as to why Sicarius was apologizing for something he did not do and at first she thought he was the source of the problem. Her fur raised at the thought before she realized that if he did in fact hurt the wolf then one she wouldn't be pregnant and two she would have been more tense and uptight in his presence. At that thought Rishi settled down. Do you hate your offspring so much that you will fault them for a crime they did not commit? Judging them before they can even prove they are horrible and horrendous creatures. Children are fragile, what ever falls on them imprints on their life. That is why mothers and fathers are important, to show and nurture their children to become compassionate and respectful animals." Rishi at first spoke harshly, wanting her words to sink into the omega. Though her words were harsh they ring with truth. It was not humane to judge before one can prove otherwise. Rishi knew life was not fair or kind for that matter, but that did not mean that we could not fill in that void in Mother Nature. "Is it not?" The small feline asked, head tilted to the side. Waiting for an answer to her question and a reaction to her speech.
