General appearance:
Lucrais might seem short compared to some big cats, but for her kind, she's slightly on the larger side, standing at 160cm, giving her a powerful build. Not to mention, Rai is stocky and lean, giving her a rather powerful build. Her legs are especially powerful, her species being native to mountains and having to jump quite far on a regular basis. Her claws and teeth are rather long and razor sharp - she makes sure they remain that way to assist with her fights. Having gotten in plenty, Rai has many scars, that are fortunately hidden under her thick pelt. She can also be considered a deadly beauty; she has a soft, silver pelt with black ringed spots, an elegant build, and a rather long tail. Her eyes are even an icy blue.

Lucrais is most notably a very sadistic she-cat. She takes pleasure in seeing others in pain - even if it's her own lesser packmates. She's the type to torture her prey until they finally die from blood loss, or until she gets bored. Obviously, she's therefore very ruthless and brutal in battle; she won't hesitate to kill. She's seemingly fearless, and will almost never turn down a challenge (sometimes she'll view them as too petty or ridiculous to participate in.)
However, despite her nature, Rai is very loyal to those who she sees deserving of her loyalty. That usually includes the strongest or oldest members of the pack, and would gladly defend them if necessary. She'd even die for them.
Lucrais is also rather flirty; she can help but lust after handsome males. Even in battle, she would flirt with her male opponent with no hesitation. She uses her beauty to her advantage as well, often luring victims into a false sense of security before slaughtering them. It's a rather good strategy to use on gullible males.
This feline is rather cool and calm, and doesn't anger easily. She's rather cunning as well; she uses this trait to the best of her ability. Rai is proud of her cunning, as she has a knack for deceiving others. She's rather good at putting on charades, with no hint at her actual personality. She uses this ability to trick her victims when she can't take them out by just outright attacking them.
Lastly, Lucrais is a rather vain she-cat, thinking quite highly of her appearance and abilities. She doesn't let anyone's negative opinions get to her; in fact, she probably is so busy thinking of herself that she doesn't even notice them. Despite this, she still is mostly respectful. However, she only shows her respect to those she sees fit. This almost always includes authority, like the alphas, betas, deltas, and those of high rank. Her treatment of others depends on their rank; omegas get the worst of her treatment, while alphas get the best. She might appear to be seemingly mature, but Lucrais still likes to have fun, and enjoys bickering with packmates, and having little "adventures". She might even play with the pups if she wants to.

History:
Lucrais was born in a ferocious clan of snow leopards hidden in the mountains. She was born to the two betas of the clan; Ceitidh, the female beta, and Iagan, the male. She was born along with one brother, known as Maoilios. Her brother had often treated his smaller sister poorly; he was extremely egotistical, and rather obsessed with strength and power. Lucrais seemed rather sickly as a cub; she was small and frail. Though they were fierce, her parents cared deeply for their cub. They knew that, if she didn't get better, the alphas would cast her away. Thus, they did everything they could to strengthen her. Lucrais, herself, tried her best. She had no intention on dying anytime soon. Not to mention, her brother would constantly give her grief about her weakness. She wanted to do anything possible to strengthen herself.
After months of work, Lucrais was finally the normal height and weight of a snow leopard her age. She began training with the rest of the pupils of her clan, as any normal clan/pack/tribe would do. She had made plenty of friends whilst training, including a handsome male named Faolan. The two became almost inseparable; everyone knew they would become future mates. They were always at each other's side, whether they were training, or on break.

Despite Lucrais's now normal health, she still was bullied by her larger brother. He and his friends would constantly torment her, calling her "weak" and "pitiful". This caused the young feline to be rather spiteful - it became evidenced that she was developing a more cruel personality in her hunts. She'd keep the prey alive, giving them a slow, painful death. However, no one in the clan really minded. They were ferocious fighters, and seemingly fearless felines overall. Lucrais's sadistic tendencies were seen as normal... Maybe a little too much, but normal. Therefore, it was never stopped.

Due to her constant bullying, Lucrais decided to push herself. She was determined to finally be able to overpower her brother and prove him wrong. Faolan often fretted about how much she trained and ate, but the she-leopard brushed him off. She had just about enough with Maoilios and his friends, and their nasty remarks. Even the adults seemed to look down on her! She and her mother would go off into the mountains to hunt and fight other creatures they encountered. Soon, Lucrais was going off with the alphess. It was obvious that she was improving - by the time she was a year old, she was larger than an average snow leopard.

The time came when Lucrais was fed up with Maoilios's taunting, as he found new things to pick on her about. The two were assigned to go hunt together when they were a year old. The entire time the male had acted as if he were superior, talking down to her and telling her what to do. This infuriated Rai, as she didn't tolerate disrespect to her. She knew he was wrong, and she was rather proud of herself, but she couldn't stand his treatment.

The pair had been on a rather rocky slope of a mountain, stalking a mountain goat Lucrais had spotted. The hunting trip had gone horribly, as Maoilios had kept on alerting the prey, and pinning the blame on Lucrais. The two almost got within jumping distance of their victim, when Maoilios had accidentally shifted some rocks, causing the goat to bolt. It was the only prey they had spotted in hours. A furious Maoilios yelled at Lucrais, claiming she was the one to make the noise. This caused the said snow leopard to snap - in a matter of seconds, the two were rolling around, the rocks digging into their backs. However, the immense amount of training paid off. Lucrais ended up ripping open her brother's throat. She proceeded to watch in satisfaction as he slowly bled out. Rai then proceeded to dump his body into a river. Soon after, she returned to hunting, and successfully managed to catch another goat. She gave it a slow death, as per usual, before dragging it back to her camp.

Lucrais managed to convince the other snow leopards that her brother was killed after a fatal fall; the blood on her passed as the blood of the goat she had tortured. Nobody questioned her about Maoilios's death; of course, some had their suspicions, but they kept them to themselves.

Months passed, and Faolan and Lucrais got only closer and closer. Soon enough, they were officially mates. The two had a single cub - a beautiful female they named Muire. The pair were in love with the adolescent; Lucrais especially. It was hard for her to leave the cub alone. It was a strong feline, unlike Lucrais. She could tell she would grow up to be a strong snow leopard - just like her parents. Lucrais dedicated much of her time to Muire; teaching her, feeding her, playing with her.... She had never been happier.

Of course, all good things must come to an end. Lucrais had been out hunting with a few other members of the clan. It had been a tough winter - prey was scarce. When they did encounter any, they had a very hard time catching them. There were blizzards after blizzards, and a running joke throughout the clan was certain they'd eventually get buried in snow.

... In an ironic turn of events, they were exactly right. The patrol was beginning to return from their faroff hunt when there was a loud rumbling sound coming from the direction in which they were headed. It took only a moment to realize that there was an avalanche on the other side of the mountain - a large one at that. To their horror, their camp was on that side of the mountain. Once they were certain it had passed, the patrol raced to their camp, even leaving the prey they had caught behind. It took them a while to find it... because there no longer was a camp. It was buried completely by snow. They called and searched and dug, but there weren't any survivors.... Faolan and Muire were in camp. Stricken by pain and anger, Lucrais departed from the rest of the patrol. The other three separated as well. Their clan had come to an end.

Lucrais had left the former territory in hopes to find a new clan to join. Eventually, she did. After encountering rogues and loners, they directed her/warned her against a pack well known for it's savagery and ruthlessness. It sounded appeasing to Lucrais, so she eventually sought it and found it successfully. After deciding her to be worthy, she was allowed to join, and has been in it ever since.

Lucrais dragged the carcass of the mountain goat she and her patrol had caught, her ears flat. "About time we caught something!" one of the members of the patrol, Fionn, commented, tail lashing. "We've been left with nothing to eat for... what? - ... days!" The other two felines, brother and sister Baltair & Barabla, nodded in agreement.
"The poor cubs are probably starving...!" Barabla hissed. Lucrais dipped her head, ears flattening. She had a cub of her own; Muire. The young feline would constantly complain about her hunger, however, Lucrais couldn't do much about it. Prey was extremely hard to come by for the time being. Usually, hunts weren't so unsuccessful. Lucrais supposed it was just the winter; the elders claimed it was harsher than usual. There were far more blizzards than there ever was. "If this continues anymore, we'll wind up buried!" her clanmates always remarked. It was meant to be lighthearted, but Lucaris's parents had always worried about avalanches. They said that they would witness them on other mountains, and that they were quite destructive. Lucrais had never seen one, but she thought it sounded thrilling... Well, thrilling to watch, at least.
"Not to mention, a stupid mountain goat isn't going to feed the clan..." Fionn huffed, glaring back at the prey. "Probably won't be any left for us, once the elders, pups, and queens are done..." He shot a glare towards Lucrais, who glared back through the goat.
"Aww, sorry I'm more important than you~!" she purred, flicking her tail. The other three cats snickered and padded on.
Suddenly, Fionn froze. "... Do you hear that?" he asekd, looking back at the patrol. Lucrais stopped and strained her ears. However, it wasn't necessary; there was a loud rumbling coming from the other side of the mountain. '...What...?'
Baltair then began running towards their camp on the other side. "Avalanche!" he cried. The rest of the felines froze and looked at each other. Then they immediately took off after their clanmate, going as quickly as possible over the jagged rocks and slippery ice.
The avalanche had passed by the time the four had reached their camp. "What?! Where's camp?! Isn't it here?" Lucrais cried, pacing through the shoulder-deep snow. She could've sworn they were in the right place! The other felines seemed just as confused, and searched around.
After a while, Barabla let out a distressed cry. "This is- ... No. This was camp...!" she wailed, digging through the snow.
Horror flooded through Lucrais, and she laid down, speechless. This was camp? Was it buried under the snow!? '... It must be...! I don't want it to be, but it must be...!' she thought, eyes wide.
Lucrais felt numb. She didn't hear her patrol calling out for survivors. She didn't feel the coldness of the snow seeping into her pelt. She didn't notice the time fly by as the four waited for any signs that there were survivors throughout the night. Finally, Fionn nudged her gently.
"Come on... you have to get up. We gotta go somewhere else... Baltair and Barabla already left," he gently murmured. Lucrais flinched and got to her paws.
"... You are right. I'm leaving... Goodbye, Fionn," she mewed, dipping her head.
"... Goodbye, Lucrais," the male replied, gently licking the she-leopard's ear. Then he walked away.
Lucrais stood in that spot for longer, looking at the snow. Turning finally, she began to pad away. Her head remained low, and her gait was slower than usual.
Just before leaving the camp's former boundaries, she looked over her shoulder. "... Goodbye, Faolan, Muire..." she softly whispered, before walking onward.
